After May 6, 1918 these pistols were shipped out ofserial number order for faster production.Right side of Colt 1911 serial number 446933.Has heart shaped openings under gripsthat started at approximately serial number 375,000.Pistol also has the thick trigger guard.Note lack of UNITED STATES PROPERTYmarking over serial number. Marking is on left front offrame.Inside slide.Rear of slide under firing pin stop.
